Complaints Policy

At Chudleigh Dental Practice we take complaints very seriously and try to ensure that all of our patients are satisfied with our service. We wish to learn from any mistakes that we make and if a patient has a complaint, we will endeavour to deal with it in a prompt and polite manner so the matter is resolved as quickly as possible.

We do have a complaints procedure in place at Chudleigh Dental Practice and is available to any patients who are unhappy with their treatment or visit to the practice.

Reminders and Recalls

At the end of your course of dental treatment your dentist will discuss with you when you will need to see them (or the hygienist) again. Depending on your oral health you may no longer need a check up every 6 months.

Recall letters are sent to all patients to remind them to make appointments for routine check-ups.

Cancelling an appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment please provide at least 24 hours notice so that we can give your appointment to someone else. Missed appointments waste surgery time and we reserve the right to charge private patients (including those on our dental plans) for missed appointments. Charges will be £60 per hour.

NHS patients who miss more than 2 appointments without providing adequate notice may be refused further appointments at the practice.
